I have just spoken to Mrs Smith, parent of Jenny Smith (MILK1234JS) and Michael Smith (MILK4321MS) and it seems that she has two different logins, one for each child - is it possible to link the two together so that she only has to use one log on?
A parent should be able to view all their children using just the one login. In the situation above, what generally happens is there are two contacts in SIMS - a duplicate account of the parent has been created within the MIS. Before notifying email@example.com, please check SIMS to ensure that the parent is not duplicated and/or related children are linked as siblings. When the next data sync occurs, the corrections will be reflected in Milk.
When creating accounts for our parents we noticed some parents with more than one child her was getting issued with multiple accounts. Our data manager has put this down to incorrect entries in SIMS which have now been rectified. Are we able to delete all parent accounts and recreate them please?
There should be no need to delete or reissue parent accounts - any changes in SIMS should be reflected in Milk as they sync overnight. In the case where a parent account only had one child but was expecting two, but instead they got a separate parent account for the other child - one parent account will automatically become suspended and the other one will gain the other child.
