So many issues can easily be rectified by ensuring that data syncs are occurring regularly without errors. Data syncs affect everything from class lists, new user creation, timetables, attendance data, achievement and behaviour points and so on. So it is very important to monitor and report data sync issues as soon as they become apparent.
Our new year 7 pupils are showing in the 'students' section, but they are not in their 'classes' so staff are currently unable to set homework for our Year 7 pupils. Is there anything I need to do to resolve this?
In the case above, we found exports to ZiNET Connect on data fields 4 and 5 failed due to memory issues. These fields contain the data for classes and timetables and this was in turn causing the problem. The cause was insufficient memory on the SIMS server.
Is there sufficient memory on the SIMS server?
We recommend increasing the memory on this server to ensure at least 2GB is available.
